Adult Day Health Care (ADHC)
An Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) center is licensed by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). Considered a "health facility," an ADHC is subject to an annual licensure fee by the State of California and periodic inspection by the California Department of Public Health.
ADHCs serving Medi-Cal (Medicaid) beneficiaries must be certified as a Community Based Adult Services (CBAS) providers by the California Department of Aging (CDA).
Within the ADHC category, there are three membership options:
Pre-Licensed (non-voting membership)
Newly Licensed (voting membership)
Licensed Provider (voting membership).
