DHCS is proposing what CAADS believes is likely a positive shift: moving CBAS from a temporary 1115 Demonstration Waiver to a more stable 1915(i) benefit. This would end the need for five-year renewals. DHCS indicates the program itself would remain unchanged, with no impact on providers or participants. Executive Director Brian Rutledge and Board President Kay Lee will share our preliminary guidance based on conversations with DHCS leadership. CAADS will share more details and deeper analysis once the full proposal is available.
