Challenges and Opportunities in Transportation in Adult Day Services
Transportation is a critical component for many Adult Day Services centers – whether you provide transportation or need to find transportation services for your attendees. Join us for this informative session on how to garner the resources and funding to create or expand your transportation service or how to partner with others in the community to meet your client’s transportation needs. You will also learn about the resources and assistance available from the National Aging & Disability Transportation Center and other national transportation centers.
Presenter: Carrie Diamond is the Senior Director of Transportation and Mobility and Co-Director of the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center (NADTC). Before joining Easterseals, she spent over a decade in operations and oversight of human services transportation programs in WI. Early in her career, she was the director of an adult day center and early memory loss program in central WI. At Easterseals, Carrie leads the development of resources as well as training and direct technical assistance to transportation programs serving older adults, people with disabilities and their caregivers. Carrie is a certified ADA Coordinator through the University of Missouri and holds Community Resource Specialist – Aging & Disability Certification from the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems.
