WEBINAR

Home and community-based services (HBCS) are a lifeline for people living with dementia (PWD) and their caregivers. When the COVID-19 pandemic came to the United States, the ability for communities to deliver HBCS were drastically impacted, leaving families without resources to support their loved ones. This webinar will identify the ways in which the community-based systems that support PWD and their caregivers were impacted by the pandemic, how they responded to community needs, suspending some services but sustaining and expanding others and what things look like as they prepare to resume programming.

Objectives of this session include:

• Emergency Response – The impact of COVID on HCBS delivery.
• Adapting to Deliver – Exploring the ways in which HCBS providers pivoted to support their communities.
• The Road Forward – Insight into to resuming services, lessons learned, and promising practices.
