X-WR-CALDESC:Home and community-based services (HBCS) are a lifeline for pe
 ople living with dementia (PWD) and their caregivers. When the COVID-19 pa
 ndemic came to the United States\, the ability for communities to deliver 
 HBCS were drastically impacted\, leaving families without resources to sup
 port their loved ones. This webinar will identify the ways in which the co
 mmunity-based systems that support PWD and their caregivers were impacted 
 by the pandemic\, how they responded to community needs\, suspending some 
 services but sustaining and expanding others and what things look like as 
 they prepare to resume programming.\n\nObjectives of this session include:

  to Deliver – Exploring the ways in which HCBS providers pivoted to suppor
 t their communities.\n•	The Road Forward – Insight into to resuming service
 s\, lessons learned\, and promising practices.\n•	\nAbout the Presenter: Er
 in Long\, MSW\, Alzheimer’s Disease Programs Initiative\, Administration o
 n Aging\, Administration for Community Living\, US Department of Health an
 d Human Services. Erin is the Team Lead for the AoA’s state\, community an
 d Tribal grant programs dedicated to supporting persons living with Alzhei
 mer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) and their caregivers. ACL’s ADR
 D programs are dedicated to building and expanding dementia-capability acr
 oss the United States\, through culturally competent education and trainin
 g on a broad range of dementia related issues\, as well as the provision o
 f direct services through evidence-based interventions. In addition to bei
 ng responsible for the planning and development of the programs\, she prov
 ides programmatic guidance and oversight for all program activities\, serv
 es as a Federal member of the Nationals Alzheimer’s Project Act Advisory C
