WEBINAR

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve seen how long-standing health inequities for people of color and people with disabilities have caused disproportionate illnesses and deaths. And now we’re seeing these inequities persist in vaccine distribution.

This webinar, Getting the Vaccine to Communities That Need It Most, will explore how health inequities have affected vaccine information, distribution, and access in various communities. The webinar will include resources to help older adults, caregivers, and others obtain vaccine access and information.

Who should participate:
Older adults, caregivers, representatives from community-based organizations, community leaders.

Presenters:
Denny Chan, Directing Attorney, Justice in Aging
Dr. Pamela Monoghan-Geernaert, Ph.D., Professor, Northern State University

NOTE: Capacity for this session is limited to 1,000 participants, and all participants will have the option of accessing audio through the computer or by phone. Closed captioning will be available. Please be sure to log onto the webinar a few minutes early in order to secure your place for the live presentation on Zoom. The presentation will be recorded and available for later viewing.

This webinar is co-hosted by the Diverse Elders Coalition, the National Hispanic Council on Aging, and Justice in Aging. The format will be interactive with opportunities to share experiences through polling, chat, or over the phone during this session.
