CA2030 is an effort to transform California’s Aging Network – the statewide network of Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) – to prepare for the upcoming demographic shift: by 2030, one-quarter of California's population will be aged 60 or older. From April through May 2023, Collaborative Consulting conducted in-person and virtual interviews with all 33 AAAs. AAA directors and staff were asked to share their perspectives and ideas on the future for older Californians, what programs and services are needed to serve future Californians, and what opportunities and implications are on the horizon for the California Aging Network.
A survey captured additional details to complement the interviews, along with desk research conducted to review local strategic and area plans. Join us to learn about the results of this research.
