As Adult Day Services providers strive to emerge from what was perhaps the greatest challenge the industry has ever faced, establishing solid operational and financial benchmarks are foundational elements that will help to ensure future success. Emerging Medicare Advantage and managed care markets also underscores the need to implement key performance indicators (KPIs). A seasoned provider shares their experience including how data comes to life using KPIs to manage operations, negotiate contracts, and update strategic planning. A template will be provided for core measures in health/safety, marketing, workforce development, technology, diversity, and financial indicators. Strategies to determine the most relevant KPIs will be shared.

Learning Objectives:

• Understand the importance of establishing and tracking operational and financial indicators in your organization in order to inform organizational strategic planning and decision-making.
• Obtain insights from leaders in the ADS field regarding the practical implementation of a KPI dashboard along with methodologies and tools that can be used to support these efforts. Identify seven tactical KPI topic areas (along with aging services-specific measures for each) that collectively form a holistic performance improvement quality framework.
