DHCS CalAIM MLTSS and Duals Integration Workgroup September Meeting
On September 16, 2021, at 10 a.m., the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) will virtually host the seventh meeting of the CalAIM Managed Long-Term Services and Supports (MLTSS) and Duals Integration Workgroup. The goal of the workgroup is to collaborate with stakeholders on the transition of the Coordinated Care Initiative (CCI) and Cal MediConnect (CMC) to a statewide MLTSS and Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) exclusively aligned enrollment structure. Under exclusively aligned enrollment, beneficiaries can enroll in a D-SNP for Medicare benefits and in a Medi-Cal managed care plan that are both operated by the same parent organization for better care coordination and integration.
Agenda items include an update and discussion on the D-SNP exclusively aligned enrollment policy, and a panel discussion and breakout sessions on Cal MediConnect strategies for health plans coordinating with carved out behavioral health and long-term services and supports.
