Webinar to Learn About Key Investments in Aging and Disability
The May Revision Comes Into Focus!
Last week, Governor Newsom released his Administration's May Revision, detailing new and adjusted budgetary investments based on the state's latest revenue projections. The proposal reflects a new chapter in one of the most challenging times in recent history, and stands in stark contrast to the budget of just one year ago.
California is "Roaring Back" with a projected $75.7 billion surplus. Combined with over $25 billion in federal relief, the state has launched a $100 billion California Comeback Plan aimed at speeding up pandemic recovery and addressing long-standing systemic challenges.
Tune in this Friday, May 21, from 9:30 - 10:30 am, for a conversation focused on aging and disability investments outlined in the May Revision. The webinar will feature:
• Sarah Steenhausen, Director of Policy & Advocacy, The SCAN Foundation
• Jared Giarrusso, Government Affairs Director, Alzheimer's Association
• Karen Keeslar, Executive Director, California Association of Public Authorities
• Claire Ramsey, Senior Staff Attorney, Justice in Aging
• Sawait Seyoum, Senior Legislative Advocate, Disability Rights California
• Anwar Zoueihid, Vice President, Long Term Services & Supports, Partners in Care Foundation
