ALEwebtalk Part 23: Enrolling New Participants
DECEMBER 16 - WHAT WE WILL COVER
As California enters what some call a “dark winter” because of a step rise in COVID-19 cases and deaths, it may seem counter-intuitive to enroll new participants. Yet, this public health emergency means that more people are in dire need of adult day services. Who better to keep people out of hospital and nursing facilities than you? For CBAS, Temporary Alternative Services provides the flexibility to serve those experiencing significant needs who earlier would be turned away because they were unable to leave the home or tolerate a 4 hour program day and transportation. Learn how centers are adapting their processes to enroll new participants under TAS and how two large Medi-Cal managed care health plans are responding, in partnership with their centers.
