Most ADHC centers then become certified by the CA Dept of Aging as COMMUNITY BASED ADULT SERVICES (CBAS) to serve Medi-Cal beneficiaries.

All ADHC / CBAS centers are required to provide the following, based on an individual participant's needs:

  • skilled nursing care
  • physical therapy
  • occupational therapy

An ADULT DAY VENDORIZED PROGRAM (ADVP) providing services in a day center setting is licensed by the CA Dept of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division (DSS-CCLD). Community learning / work experience programs, known as "program-without-walls," may not require licensure.

Vendorized programs are funded through one of California's 21 Regional Centers which contract with the CA Dept of Developmental Services (DDS).

In July 2014, the DSS-CCLD launched significant changes to their website facility search feature; however, adult day vendorized programs are not specifically categorized as a sub-set of adult day programs. Please use the search feature above for Adult Day Program (ADP) to see:

  • number of Type A and Type B citations issued
