 but there is still a strong mental health stigma among older adults. \nTop

 erm as board chair of the national Mental Health America organization near

 er adults. More than one-third of people over the age of 65 fall each year
  resulting in 3 million admissions to the emergency department. Additional
 ly\, older adults who fall once are two to three times more likely to fall
  again. Even falls without injury can cause fear of falling\, leading to p
 hysical decline\, depression\, and social isolation. This webinar will pro
 vide you with practical interventions to reduce falls and hospital readmis
 sions.\nObjectives:\nâ€¢	Attendees will learn the importance of having a Fall
  Prevention Program in their center.\nâ€¢	Attendees will hear about the diffe
 rent types of Fall Prevention programs that are considered evidence-based.

  Holmes County General Health Districtâ€™s Falls Prevention Program. The Fal

 and fall related injuries\, maximizing their independence and quality of l
 ife. MacQueen is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and is a Ma
 ster Trainer of A Matter of Balance and Stepping On facilitator â€“ both evi
 dence-based falls prevention educational programs. She is also a trained G
 eri-Fit Instructor and a Certified Adult Vision Screener. MacQueen has ove
 r 30 years of experience working with the 60 and older population in Adult
  Day\, long-term care\, and public health settings. She is passionate abou
 t providing opportunities for older adults to remain falls-free\, healthy\
 , active\, and engaged in life.\n\nWebinars will be recorded and attendees
