 the state’s Medi-Cal program has delivered essential health services to mi
 llions of Californians. And\, for decades\, it has existed as a patchwork 
 of different health and social programs that vary by county – creating sil
 oes that have made it difficult for Californians to access the kind of per
 son-centered care that has been demonstrated to improve health outcomes\, 
 build health equity\, and reduce costs.\n \nRecognizing the need for compr
 ehensive reform\, California embarked on an expansive\, multi-year journey
  to integrate the state’s health and social services into one seamless sys
 tem. After years of planning\, piloting\, and stakeholder conversations\, 
 California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal – also known as CalAIM – roll
 ed out for a small segment of the state's population in January 2022. It w
 ill continue to expand to a broader range of Californians in the coming ye
 ars – including over 2 million older and disabled adults currently enrolle
